Scenario #4
A group of three individuals, all who appear to be similar ages, arrive at your grocery store and head to the beer coolers. As you are watching them browse the selection, you observe two of the individuals pointing out their selections to the third individual. After a few more minutes of browsing, the third individual, whom the other two were pointing out their selections to, makes his way over to your register to pay for 2 six-packs of beer. The two other individuals make their way towards the exit.
The individual at your register appears in his younger 20’s and you are not confident that he is 21 years of age or older. As a precaution, you ask the individual for identification. Without hesitation, he politely hands you his Montana Driver’s License. You verify the ID is valid and that the individual is over age 21. What is your next appropriate and best practice step?
